Hi SPE Families!

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new president of Sunrise Point Elementary PTO. As we begin a new school year, I am filled with excitement for the many wonderful activities and events we have planned. One of the highlights we can all look forward to is the return of Carnival!

This year promises to be one filled with laughter, learning, and community spirit. Here are some important dates to mark on your calendars:

  • Popsicle Pop-in: Friday, August 9
  • First Day of School: Tuesday, August 13
  • Picnic at the Point: Friday, September 6
  • Glow Dance: Thursday, October 10
  • Trivia: Friday, November 8
  • Book Fair: November 11-14
  • Carnival: Saturday, April 5

I am passionate about the strong community we have here at SPE and am committed to building on that foundation. Together, we can create a supportive and enriching environment for our children and teachers to thrive.

One of our primary goals for this school year is to improve our library, ensuring it becomes an even more vibrant resource for our students. Additionally, we aim to grant as many teacher grants as possible. Supporting the dedicated educators who make such a difference in our children’s lives is our highest priority.

We have many events and activities planned throughout the year, and we need your help to make them a success. Volunteers play a crucial role in bringing these events to life. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your participation and support are invaluable. Please consider volunteering to help us create memorable experiences for our students.

On a personal note, I have two daughters entering 1st and 4th grade. They absolutely adore the community they have found here at SPE, and I am eager to contribute to the ongoing growth and connection within our school. I look forward to meeting many of you and working together to make this year the best yet.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our school. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Warm regards,

Kylie Nicholas
